For Comic book, Sci-Fi and Cosplay fans on the Island, this is a very welcome addition to the Islands annual events calendar. We are expecting a great deal of visitors from across the water over the weekend and also have guests from TV & Film flying in from all over the globe.

Kevin Smith fans will be very excited to get the possibility to meet Brian O’Halloran, who played the lead in the cult classic ‘Clerks’ and is returning for the 2nd year and also Jason Mewes. There’s a lot on offer for Dr Who fans including an appearance from Sylvester McCoy. You’ll find a full list of guests on the main site here.

There will be dozens of stalls selling all sorts of collectibles, clothing, costumes and of course, comic books.
Comic cons have become an increasingly popular event in recent years for people taking part in Cosplay, and dressing as their favourite fictional character from Film, tv, comics or even games. Expect to see some interesting outfits!

They’ll be plenty to see and do over the weekend, including many interactive exhibitions such as Virtual reality demonstrations and a large area with life size Star Wars props, built on the Island by the IW Garrison

It is hoped that this will become an annual event and the anticipated visitor numbers to this year’s event should hopefully make this a reality.

If you’re staying on the Island (or thinking of coming over), there’s plenty of parking at Cowes enterprise college, and also a regular bus service which stops very close to the venue. If you’re coming over from the Mainland for the day, hop on the Red jet from Southampton, and it’s a short walk to the event from the Cowes High Street.
