Cowes Classic Offshore Powerboat Race

Recognised as one of powerboating's toughest challenges around 20 boats are expected to be in the line-up for this 200-mile classic. The participants will be looking for calm conditions like last year, allowing them to race for the finish in just under three hours.

The powerboat race sails between Cowes and Torbay, and this year marks it's 56th year. The 2015 winner Vector Martini Rosso driven by Peter Dredge, Simon Powell, Mal Crease and David Gandy averaged the fastest course speed ever at 94.55 mph!
