Freshwater is a large village (or small town!) on the western end of the Island. The small cove of Freshwater Bay is found just south of the village and is a beautiful coastal spot. Known for its open countryside and rugged cliffs, Freshwater was home to Alfred Lord Tennyson and is close to the South Coastal path making it a popular destination for walkers. Freshwater Bay also has one of the Islands 18 hole golf courses so this is certainly an area to cater for all outdoor pursuits.

Freshwater itself has a good range of shops and places to eat, or if you fancy a change then the picturesque harbour town of Yarmouth is just 2 miles away.
